Upgrade to O365 | Kimberly

This is a step by step to manually upgrade to O365 on your desktop. Advantages include integration of desktop Office applications including Outlook and OneDrive.

  1. Uninstall Microsoft Office Professional 2016

    1. From the start menu select Control Panel
    2. From the Control Panel select Uninstall a program
    3. From the list of programs find and right click on Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016 then select Uninstall.
    4. Confirm removal of Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016 by selecting Yes.
  2. Download and Install Office 365 Professional

    (You may do this at home also)

    1. Login to Office 365
    2. Download installation file
    3. From your download folder (where ever you save your downloads) Find and double click the installation file.
      • or
    4. Confirm installation by clicking Run
  3. Setup your OneDrive

    (Only on your workstation or your personal computer at home)

    1. From the Start menu / All Programs list find and Open Microsoft OneDrive.
    2. Sign in using your email address and password (the same one you use to log on to your school computer)
    3. Select Next
    4. Select all folders you wish to Sync (all are recomended) then select Next
    5. Simply close this window by clicking the red X in the upper righthand corner.
    6. You may now access all of your OneDrive folders and files from your computer as if it were a local drive.
  4. Set up your Outlook

    (you can also do this on your personal device at home)

    1. From the Start menu / All Programs list find and Open Outlook 2016.
