Welcome to school year 23/24!
My name is Cathy Bohman and I am excited for this new school year! My husband and I moved to this area from East Idaho eight years ago. We have four sons, two daughters, and seven grandchildren. Our children were raised in Alaska (our youngest was 10 when we moved to Idaho). We were in Alaska for 18 years and have now completed our 24th year in Idaho. I couldn't be happier with this part of my life! I LOVE teaching, learned a lot and made my share of mistakes. I am not afraid to try new things, so if you have suggestions, please bring them on!
I am soooo excited for this school year. I am beginning my 8th, and last year, teaching- three in 1st grade, one in 3rd, and starting my 4th year in 4th.
Fourth grade is an awesome year; we get to learn about Idaho History in addition to the traditional math, language, writing, etc. We also have fun field trips - a walk to Stricker Ranch, a visit to the Capitol and Old Penitentiary, skiing, and maybe another or so!
A few years ago I took up painting as a hobby and I love to help my students learn more about it, so we will have some projects with acrylics as well as water colors. It is so much fun seeing their creativity!
For communication I like to use the app Remind. I also reply to emails, but all of my classroom announcements will be on Remind. My goal is to reply swiftly with either mode, whether during the school day or not.
