My name is Michael Graefe.   I was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin which is located between Milwaukee and Green Bay.  Yes, I am a diehard Green Bay Packer fan. My family moved to Twin Falls when I was 4 years old.  I attended schools in Twin Falls through my sophomore year in high school. I attended a Mt. Angel Seminary High School in Oregon near Salem for my junior and senior years of high school. I then attended Mt. Angel Seminary College for 2 years before returning to Twin Falls.  I studied music at the College of Southern Idaho for 1 year.  I received my BA in Elementary Education from Boise State University in 1988.  Yes, I am an avid BSU football fan.  GO BRONCOS!

This will be my sixth year teaching 5th grade in the Kimberly School District, my third year at Stricker.  Previously, I taught 4th Grade at St. Edward's Catholic School in Twin Falls for 6 years (1989-1995).  After changing careers and living in the Nampa/Caldwell/Boise areas from 1997-2010, I returned to Twin Falls.  I married my wonderful and supportive wife, Debi, in 2012.  I returned to teaching as a substitute in the Twin Falls School District, then taught third grade for the spring semester of 2014 and fifth grade for the 2014-2015 school year at Lincoln Elementary in T.F.

We are the proud grandparents of two beautiful granddaughters. Debi and I are involved in the music ministry at our church and love to travel.  Every summer, we spend a week at a rental home on the beachside around Carlsbad, California with Debi’s family.  We took an unforgettable tour of Israel in 2015.
