The Kimberly High School soccer teams have been working hard so far this season! Since the beginning of the school year, they’ve been putting the work into practice, and it shows. So far in the season KHS soccer has been very successful.
Sophomore Jace Maxwell said, “I’m excited about soccer because we are having a good season so far, and I have so many great teammates and coaches that make it even better.”
An important part of the high school soccer team is unity. Throughout their games, they need to work and function together to score. It’s important for the team to communicate and understand what their teammates are doing. The soccer teams practice daily after school and spend a lot of time working together to progress through the season.
Mariah Baird, another sophomore, said, “After losing a lot of seniors last year, we’ve worked together to start fresh and built an awesome team.”
The teams last year had many senior players, which meant at the beginning of the season they lost a lot of important pieces. During their after-school practices players have worked on drills to practice their soccer skills. This has helped them build well-put-together teams. Both teams are on a winning streak, only losing one game each.
So far, the KHS soccer teams are doing very well. They’ve won many games in the first half of their season. We have five more home soccer games left in the season. Consider heading over to the field between the middle and high school to watch and support the Kimberly Bulldog soccer teams!
