On Tueday, Feb. 18, members of the Buhl High School staff made the trip to take on Kimberly's staff in the second annual staff basketball game. This game was beyond thrilling, with Mr. Dong scoring the winning shot from 3-point range in the waning seconds. The Bulldogs prevailed 58-55.
The game was Ryker Larson and Broden Anthony's senior projects, in conjunction with a couple of Buhl students. The revenue from entrance to the game went to the youth sports association in Kimberly.
When asked about the game, Larson said, “I am happy with how much support the game got and the money we made to donate to KYA.”
Buhl put up a tough fight because of their secret weapon, number 11, Jake Kesley. But, down 10 points with about three minutes to play in the last quarter of the game, Kimberly put on the full-court press and was able to scratch its back one layup at a time.
If you were lucky enough to attend you got to see the high energy Kimberly’s student section brought. It's a great day to be a Kimberly Bulldog.
