KIMBERLY SCHOOL BOARD MEETING
September 10, 2020

Special Meeting Minutes
The meeting was called to order by Mr. Nield at 8:01 PM. Present on the Zoom meeting were trustees Mr. Giles, Mr. Allen, and Mr. Melvin. Also, in attendance were Mr. Schroeder, Superintendent; and Ms. Searby, District Clerk.
AGENDA: Ryan Melvin moved to approve the special meeting agenda as submitted. Curtis Giles seconded the motion. The motion carried 4-0.
Dane Higdem joined zoom meeting at 8:15 PM.
Superintendent Schroeder prefaced by disclosing that Dr. Melvin, and Mr. Nield spent time on 09/09/2020 speaking with attorney Anne Magnelli from Anderson, Julian and Hull discussing the AAP and CDC guidelines.
KSD LEARNING PLAN: Superintendent Schroeder took time to go over the 14 day exclusion, recommending to the board a revision to the learning plan to change the verbiage from a mandatory exclusion to "highly encourage" students to be excluded from school for 14 days if they have been exposed to COVID-19 after the date of last contact and to monitor symptoms.
Curtis Giles moved to accept the recommendation as stated above, Ryan Melvin seconded. The motion carried 5-0.
Mr. Nield took a few additional minutes to thank the Staff for everything that they have accomplished thus far.
ADJOURNMENT: Curtis Giles moved to exit the meeting at 8:42 PM, Ryan Melvin seconded the motion. The motion carried 5-0.
