Kimberly School District Personnel in coordination with Kimberly Police Department completed an early morning sweep of all facilities. This afternoon, just before school was released, KSD was notified by multiple law enforcement agencies about an active police situation in the area of Red Cap corner. KSD worked quickly and closely with our Transportation department and law enforcement to coordinate safe release of students identified to be living in the impacted area to their parent(s)/guardian(s).
While we strive for transparency and communication with our parents and patrons, safety is our number one priority. We understand that situations such as these can cause anxiety and fear, please know that student wellbeing is of paramount importance to our Administration and Staff.
