Assistant Coach

Kayla Hutch, or better known as Coach Hutch, has been an assistant varsity coach at Kimberly for 9 years now. She played softball since she was a young girl, playing KYA softball all the way through 9th grade. She also played all 4 years on varsity as an outfielder for Kimberly. Within those 4 years, (junior and senior year specifically), they won a State Championship and 2nd plate at state. She was an all-conference outfielder and went on to play softball at Walla Walla Community College on a scholarship after graduation. There, they placed 2nd in the NWACC. She started her softball coaching career, coaching a travel team in Twin for a couple summers, and then at Boise State coaching the Boise State Club Softball team. After graduation from BSU she moved back to Kimberly and became the assistant coach for the KHS varsity softball team as well as a KYA coach. And in 2023 the KHS varsity softball coach won State! Coach Hutch enjoys camping, hiking, spending time with her family, dogs, and cats, and playing any sport. Kimberly High School is lucky to have her as a part of the program.
