LANGUAGE ARTS:
In English we are reading through chapter 11 in The Lightning Thief. Students will engage in a classroom discussion. In the latter part of the week, we will be addressing two elements of the body paragraph for argumentative writing. Students will practice premises and evidence. Lastly, B Day students will take the weeks 17-18 vocabulary quiz on Friday.

MATH:
This week we'll work with ratios and solve real-world problems. We have a few more weeks until the end of the quarter, so we still have time to get grades up. Come see me to make test corrections and complete missing work!

PACK:
This week in PACK we are wrapping up the last few presentations that we couldn't get completed last week. Thank you again parents for all your help and support getting these projects done. They are a ton of fun and its probably the one time in the year (aside from the breaks) that the students enjoy in PACK. This week we will be talking about leadership principles. We will be discussing what the students think the qualities are, who they think a leader is, and then most importantly identifying a time in their life they were that leader. Please reach out with any questions or concerns.

STEM:
Hello, this week in STEM students will construct their earthquake towers. B-Day students will test their towers on the shake table Friday while A-Day will test theirs next Monday. A reminder that our STEM Unit 3 Vocabulary Quiz D-Z will be next week, a few minutes every day of studying makes a big difference!
