We will complete a close-reading assignment, analyzing the language that develops suspense in the novel. We will also continue working with argumentative writing. Students will complete an assignment on justification and claims/counterclaims. Lastly, we will have a quick grammar exit ticket assignment on adverbs. A-day students- Don't forget to study your weeks 17-18 vocabulary terms for the quiz on Friday.

PACK:
Last week in PACK we discussed leadership, specifically servant leadership and ownership. Today and this week we are going to talk about resiliency. We have a few in class assignments that will see if the students remember what they learned in the leadership lessons and how they apply to building resiliency. STEM:
Hi, this week in STEM we are testing our towers on the shake table and reflecting on our designs. I pushed the Unit 3 D-Z Vocabulary Quiz for B-Day to Thursday; students will quiz on Wednesday and Thursday. Students will also begin an Architecture Research Poster on Wednesday and Thursday; students will have 2 class periods to complete them. They will be done electronically on an 8.5x11 format so no need to purchase a poster board.
