LANGUAGE ARTS:

Hi all,

We will be transitioning from Informational paragraph writing to opinion writing this week. We will be doing bellringers 5 and 6. Two nonfiction AR book points are due in less than two weeks on March 3rd. These points can still be earned through the end of the quarter but will be considered late after March 3rd. The Paragraph test will be this week and next week. Students will be required to read a one-page essay and then respond with textual evidence (including restating the question, fully answering the question, citing evidence, explaining their citations, and summarizing their paragraph). This test will be worth 10% of their overall quarter grade.

There are a handful of students missing this week. The assignments they can do while absent are Bellringer #5, Bellringer #6, and the Group Paragraph assignment on Canvas (B-Day only). They will need to make up the Paragraph Test (A-Day only) when they return.

Upcoming Test:

              Paragraph Test- A-Day: February 23rd

              Paragraph Test- B-Day: February 28th

Upcoming AR requirement:

              Nonfiction- A and B Day: March 3rd
