Welcome to the KMS 6th

Grade Weekly Update!

We start Quarter #3 this week. Already halfway through the school year! Quarter #2 grades will be coming home here soon! Keep on bringing all the supplies you will need to your classes each and every day!

LANGUAGE ARTS:

Students will be finalizing their drafts for their Response to Literature essays. We will work to revise and edit those drafts through individual and peer review. Depending on student progress, we may introduce our argumentative writing unit. However, that will only be the case if the majority of students have completed their final drafts. Students will also review their week 11 and 12 vocabulary terms before their next quiz. A-day students will take that quiz on Friday, January 17. Lastly, we will spend time reviewing our Interim I-SAT responses. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Welcome to the second half of the school year. This week we are covering test taking strategies and tips and then we are going to take a job survey. The students will get to see what things interest them and what those translate into jobs for the future. If you have questions, please reach out.
