About our guest speaker
The Kimberly School District has contracted with Robert Henderson to present to the Kimberly Community on the evening of Monday, March 3rd. The topic will be aligned with the book, "The Anxious Generation" written by Jonathan Haidt, and the inherent concerns associated with social media/exposure. Mr. Henderson wants to remind us that social media can be described as an "addiction" and can be treated similarly as with other additive behaviors.
The presenter is Rob Henderson, a highly qualified spokesperson/guest speaker on this and other relevant topics. Rob is also a fun and charismatic presenter, embedding research, trends, anecdotal experiences from his professional practice with at-risk youth. Rob is also a skilled outdoor guide and excursionist (perhaps also a little bit of an adrenaline junkie) who is skilled in several backcountry activities such as rock climbing, paddle sports and caving.
On a more personal level, Rob is married to his closest friend & business partner, Heather, and together they have a wonderful family that loves to jam to music and adventure in the outdoors together. With their large family of 8 children, they also battle on the home front regarding screen time with their teenagers!
Personal & professional mission statement:
“Learn the healer’s art, and then, to the wounded and the weary – including those who serve the Wounded & the weary – pause to help, teach and lift them up.”
