St. Nick's

St. Nick's

The KBOA St. Nicholas Festival began as a heartfelt initiative by Kimberly locals Ryan and Jamee Muchow, inspired by their enchanting trip to European Christmas markets. They aimed to share the joy of the holiday season with their family and friends, and what started as a small gathering soon blossomed into a beloved community tradition.

For nearly two decades, the rural town of Kimberly, Idaho, has embraced this festive celebration. Initially held on Main Street, the event featured a children's hand bell choir, burn barrels, and a simple spirit of togetherness. Over the years, the festival has expanded significantly, introducing the Community Nativity Celebration, a wide array of vendors, live music, and spectacular fireworks.

While the festival has spent the last few years on Kimberly School District property, we are thrilled to announce its return to Main Street in 2024. The quaint atmosphere of a small town fosters connections, allowing residents to celebrate the season in a way that is intimate and personal.

As the festival approaches its 18th year, it continues to be a cherished occasion for residents of all ages. From the beautifully displayed nativity scenes to the delicious offerings from local vendors and talented performers, the St. Nicholas Festival truly has something for everyone. The evening culminates with the reading of the St. Nicholas story, a special visit from St. Nicholas himself, who presents the first gift of the season to a deserving child, followed by a breathtaking fireworks display.

The KBOA St. Nicholas Festival has become a time-honored tradition that embodies the spirit of community and the magic of the holiday season—an experience not to be missed.
