- Students will be able to understand skip counting by 2’s, 5’s 10’s and 100’s and manipulate and compare numbers up to 1,000.
- Student will be able to smoothly add and subtract numbers within 100. Using their understanding of place-value and operations, they will be able to develop methods to solve problems within 1,000. Students will be able to select strategies that they can explain to solve problems.
- Students will measure using a variety of standard tools ( including rulers, yard sticks, and tape measures) and non-standard tools ( including paper clips, fingers, arm spans, etc.), as well focus on solving problems with time and money.
- Students will build, draw, and analyze 2 and 3 dimensional shapes, in addition to becoming familiar with fractions through partitioning shapes.
