Parents are responsible for seeing that their children of age seven (7) or older prior to the first day of school attend school until the child’s sixteenth (16th) birthday. Unless the child is otherwise comparably instructed, the parent/guardian shall cause the child to attend a public, private or parochial school during a period in each year equal to that in which the public schools are in session.
